Home Energy Audit Challenge

Did you know that Canadian homes consume 2-3 times the amount of electricity that an average European home does?

Additionally, Canadian homes average the highest energy consumption per person and per household in the world?

Even though we are blessed with abundant resources of energy and relatively cheap electricity, we can still try to make an impact by reducing our consumption.

We invite you to immerse yourself in hands-on learning about energy efficiency! Take the Home Energy Audit Challenge today for a chance to win the following prizes: 1st prize $1000, 2nd prize $500, and 3rd prize $250. We have two versions of the challenge suited for different ages of students: Junior version (Grades 4 – 8) and Senior version (Grades 9 – 12)

Register for the challenge today to receive your welcome package including your submission form and judging criteria, as well as receive challenge updates. Educators must be registered to be eligible for the prize.

The challenge is now closed for the 2020-2021 school year.

Step 2: Download the Home Energy Audit Guide and complete your home energy inspection to find out how you can save energy in your home!


Step 3: Download and Complete the Home Energy Audit Report.


Step 4: Download and Complete the Home Energy Action Plan and Tracker
